Kenya based, ageing fast, a septuagenarian golfer now playing off 18, just completed the Top 100 in the British Isles.

My '18’ favourites? That’s hard but maybe… Royal County Down, Kingsbarns, Castle Stuart, North Berwick, both Sunningdale courses, Waterville, Tralee, Saunton East, Royal West Norfolk, Alwoodley, Enniscrone, Rosapenna, Burnham & Berrow, The Addington, Swinley Forest and for its history, Prestwick.

Two courses that I feel should appear in the top 100? Dooks… a lovely links amid fantastic views. Seriously underrated IMO. And Nefyn.

And the best outside the British Isles? Augusta. Now that was day well spent!
