I was born in Rome and start playing golf around the capital in 1988 having graduated in Business & Administration from La Sapienza University in Rome. Started to work in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers in London, then moved to Milan, New York and finally Rome (where I’ve lived since 2004) and where I now work for Societe Generale.
I’m a keen golfer and love links courses – I’ve played 150 courses in my “career”, including all the British Open venues. Love to play golf with my friends and would like to play much more than my Saturday morning round. Believe that Italy is a fantastic country for golf vacations even though it’s not a popular destination for golf tourism. I’m looking forward to Italy hosting the Ryder Cup in Rome in 2022.
Played all the British Open venues plus many other links in Scotland and Ireland (including County Down, Portrush and Ballybunion), but Dornoch remains the purest links e...
One of the best non links course I have ever played. Really enjoyable. Wonderful views and many scenic holes. The only pitty is that you definitely need to ride a buggy a...
I might be a little bias as I have been playing on this course for 25 years now, but i feel pretty honest saying that is one of the top 10 golf course in Italy and has no...
One of my favourite golf course in Scotland. Definitely in the top 10 of the British Isles. The dunes are huge and the first nine holes are really spectacular as it is qu...
What a wonderful surprise! Having played 19 out of the top 20 courses in the British Isles I believe Rye definitely should be among them. Even though the course is a priv...
I cannot agree more on the review below. I love Royal Dornoch, which I consider the best links of all, but I found Castle Stuart a wonderful experience as well.Yes, it mi...
Wonderful course. Played there in September 2014 and even though unfortunately half of the fairways were completely burned as they were planting new grass, I really enjoy...
Played on the 31st of August in a perfect cool and sunny day. Course was in great shape with perfect very large fairways, very fast greens and a quite hard rough. Liked v...
Played Cruden Bay on a wonderful morning at the beginning of July. Heard very good things about this course and always wanted to play it. Overall has been a very pleasant...
Played the course in a very nice afternoon in mid June after having played St. Georges in the morning. Even though less famous a much better experience. A real link cours...
Played the course (which I played already several times few years ago) on Sep 2nd and found it as pleasant and fun as I remember. While I am not really able to judge the...
Frankly speaking, a little disappointing. Valderrama is definitely a nice course in exceptional condition, but does not live up to the expectations. Personally I enjoyed...
Good course but definitely too expensive for what you get. I gave it 4 balls like I did for Torrey Pine and Maderas but it deserves a lower ranking. It does not have the...
Nice course with beautiful views of the desert and one of the best you can play in the San Diego area, ideally at a $85 twilight rate. Not particularly long but with quit...
Played on August 17 the South Course for the fourth time. Even though playing the course that you watch on TV is always fun I have to agree with other reviews which consi...
Played Royal St George's for the second time on the 16th of June. Not impressed at all. In my opinion the less interesting course among the Open rota courses. Do not unde...
Nice course hole by hole but not a lot of fun to play. I don't like to play courses where you can easily get lost and where holes are not one next to the other but you ha...
Better than its older brother, San Roque New has been a nice surprise. Very enjoyable course with many challenging holes and with different difficulties. Water comes into...
Nice course but definitely one or two notch down vs. Finca Cortesin and Sotogrande. Expected a better maintenance given the premium price. A course to try if you are in t...
