Having grown up in a family of past Captains and competition secretaries I first picked a golf club up at aged five years. Having obtained a scratch handicap I went on to represent The Lancashire County at junior level before turning Professional in 1996.

After obtaining my full PGA membership and working for 10 years as an assistant Professional at Childwall Golf Club I would move to the Netherlands where I remained as a teaching Professional at Golf Club Amelisweerd for 5 years. During this time I developed ‘The real fundamentals of golf’, where I developed my own concept of allowing players to develop their games.

Today I play golf more socially around the country visiting and reviewing courses across the United Kingdom and Europe. As a keen football fan I follow Wigan Athletic on away games and combine the my passion for visiting new grounds with tasting and reviewing a local nearby course.
