I’ve played the Top 100 Golf Courses of Britain & Ireland and completed the hundred in 2006. Carne, Rosapenna (Sandy Hills) and Castlerock (Mussenden) were the missing three courses and I met up and played with two of the Top 100 website team at Rosapenna and then completed the hundred at Castlerock the following day. My story was published in the Top 100 Golf Courses of Britain & Ireland book and the Coleraine Chronicle also ran my story – “Castlerock final port of call in top 100 courses odyssey”. It took me around 12 months to play the entire hundred and it cost me somewhere in the region of £30,000.
Played Trump May-13, the welcome we received from all the staff was first class without being false. Amazing course layout that I feel isn’t bettered in the UK&I, greens...

Found the course in August 2011 in great condition and excellent service form both the golf and hotel staff. A tough golf course which you have to play for the Ryder Cup...
Played the Montgomerie in August 2011 as a bolt on to the Twenty Ten and was really surprised by the quality of the course. In great condition and I personally...
Played a pretty much deserted course in May 2011 this year. Some great holes but quite a few average ones and after the round felt Sir Nick’s school report should rear ‘...
I really enjoyed the Dunes in a perverse way. Played this September and found the course pretty brutal and any errant drives usually resulted in a lost ball. Found the...
Enjoyed both the Old and New courses, proper old fashioned links courses in excellent condition with a good clubhouse. Unfortunately the day was spoilt by the never endi...
A very good course in excellent condition with a superb clubhouse and service, but please make it more demanding off the tee as unlike most great links courses there was...
A very good test of golf. Found the course in excellent condition this June and thoroughly enjoyed my round. Criticism below seems to be more than a little harsh in my o...
Beautiful setting with amazing views, found the course more than a little tricky with some ‘interesting’ holes. Sadly poor condition greens on my visit in June 10. Worth...
Good track and well worth a visit. I thought 1&18 were average holes but enjoyed my round. The greens were average this June but probably a function of such a harsh wint...
Visited St. Andrews on numerous occasions and never played the Jubilee until May 2009, big mistake. A very good course which was both challenging and enjoyable, do not m...
Played from the championship pegs in May 09. A superb layout with some demanding holes, however the lack of definition specifically on the front nine lets the course down...
Played for the third time in May 2009 and I enjoy it more every visit. The course was in immaculate condition and the only word to describe the experience is magical. T...
A great course and one I enjoy more every time I play it. The course was in superb condition and rewarded good shot making. Comfortably mid table in my personal top 100.
