Dumbarnie Links lies within the 5,000-acre Balcarres Estate, a property that’s been in the hands of Lord Balniel’s family for more than four hundred years. It’s a Clive Clark design which first opened its doors to the public as a pay-and-play facility in the spring of 2020.

Located on the Shandong Peninsula, Tiger Beach Golf Links was designed by Beta Soong, a Taiwanese developer, who took four years to fashion his version of a Scottish links on a tract of land overlooking the Yellow Sea. Unfortunately in April 2019 Tiger Beach closed.

Sagebrush ran into serious financial difficulties and closed its tees for play in the fall of 2014 and was due to reopen in 2016 as a high-end pay-and-play public facility managed by Troon Golf. However in September 2017 the course closed and has remained shut with reopening planned for July 2021.

The committee has recommended that both club and courses should close due to a long-standing legal conflict over property ownership and declining membership.

One of only a small number of public golf courses designed by Tom Fazio, the 18-hole layout at Butterfield Trail cost a reputed $23 million to construct on land adjacent to El Paso International Airport. The course was closed briefly during 2020 before being reacquired and reopened.
