There are few athletes in history that have had a cultural impact on the same level as Tiger Woods. One of them is Michael Jordan, hailed by many as the greatest basketball player of all time. The legend also has a notorious taste for golf, which prompted the construction of his own golf haven, The Grove XXIII.
Such a project was no doubt fueled by Jordan's wish for privacy while on the fairways, and the member list at this club — tucked way off the main stretch near Hobe Sound — almost lives up to his own dazzle.
The name of the club pays tribute to the number Jordan wore throughout his NBA career, however players can expect a much higher number on the scorecard. Bobby Weed brought the layout out to more than 7,600 yards, worthy of testing even the numerous professionals who use its acclaimed practice facility. Jordan, always ambitious and reportedly playing off of a 1.3 handicap, surely doesn't shy away from long shots.
