Meridian Hills

What do the communities of Pinehurst, North Carolina and Meridian Hills, Indiana have in common? They were both founded around golf! The first installation in the community that would become Meridian Hills was indeed Meridian Hills Country Club, and records indicate the golf course was in existence at the 1923 onset of the club.

Bill Diddel, a founding member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, was the original designer at the club, and a number of prominent architects have come through for subsequent renovations, including the Fazios (George and Tom) and the Dyes (Pete and Alice).

As the club has matured moving toward its centenary, so have the trees on the property, making accuracy essential for those looking to score at Meridian Hills. Upkeep is to a standard expected from one of the wealthiest corners of Indianapolis, with well-groomed greens and bright white bunkers awaiting players on every hole.
