Schloss Schönborn is set in the heart of the Austrian wine region on the northeastern edge of Vienna and it boasts an impressive 27 holes and an even more impressive manor house, which is now the clubhouse and the imposing centrepiece of the Schloss Schönborn Golf Club.

The 27 holes are spread out over more than 250 acres and the course is set out in three loops of nine holes, the Red, Green and Yellow. The Red and Green nines make up the premier tournament course but if you are planning a day here we recommend the full 27-hole Kurt Rossknecht experience.

Schloss Schönborn is a heavily wooded course, with thoughtful routing and captivating holes. In many ways the layout is reminiscent of a traditional British park course but there is no doubt that you are in the Viennese heart.

Very nice parkland course not far from Vienna. Wonderful surrounding with the castle dating back to early 1700.

Played 2018 in July and was impressed. Greens were perfect, so also most of the fairways. Perfect service and restaurant!

One of the best parkland courses in Austria. Built in an old castle park, the course features tight fairways, long par 4s and many trees. Course required solid precise play. Signature hole par 3 11th playing strait at the castle. Front 9 a bit up and down, back 9 flat but not less challenging. The course shows some of the fastest greens in Eastern Austria.

Narrow first 9, fairways open up a bit at the end on this true park course. Lots of leafs, small sticks on the green, made it even tougher. Have heard so many good things about the course but was little disappointed, Fontana is a much better course and in better condition and the buildings at Schloss Schönborn needs a refreshment.

I played there already several times. Truly one of the best, f not the best course in Austria. Magnificent greens, a spectacular atmosphere due to the baroque park venue and the classical chateau/clubhouse (with a very good restaurant) and last but not least a great designed course, especially the 18 holes in the old park. For fans of park courses a must! And if you like to play US Open golf, play the 13 and the 16 from the black tees as Par 4s and you got a nearly 6300m long Par 71 course with a great challenge, otherwise it will be just an unforgettable round...

ranking of 9th in Austria is a joke. This course is one of the top 3 courses in Austria. The top 3 can be ranked in misc. order depending on if you rather have a park, non-park or mountain course but not the condion of the course.
