Less than an hour’s drive east from Bratislava city centre, Sedin Golf Resort lies on the floodplain of the meandering Little Danube river, with fairways routed around a wooded property which brings three large lakes into play. The facility also includes a large training area, driving range, chipping and putting greens and a couple of practice holes.

The layout extends to 6,492 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 73 (37 out, 36 in), with holes arranged as two returning nines. The outward half measures almost 400 metres longer than the inward half, featuring three par fives at holes 3, 5 and 9. Water comes into play sparingly; at the right doglegging par five 9th, the par three 12th, and the short par four 13th.

Highlight holes include the first of the par threes at the 214-metre 4th (where the raised green is out in the open with no bunkers or trees for protection); the tough par four 13th ( with a long carry to the fairway); and the short par four 18th which starts from an elevated tee position then slides right to the home green – a closing birdie is possible if players can avoid trees on the left and sand to the right.
