The parkland Kalkki-Petteri course at St Laurence Golf Club was designed by Kosti Kuronen and is the eldest of the two 18-hole courses at this very progressive Finnish facility. Opened for play in 1990, it predates the Pyhä Lauri layout by 12 years. The club hosted the SK Golf Challenge on the European Challenge Tour in 2008, using a composite course.
The Kalkki-Petteri layout measures almost 6,300 metres from the tips, with par rated as72 and holes arranged as two returning nines. Water hazards hardly feature at all here, apart from ponds to the left of the greens on both the par three 2nd and par three 16th holes.
Feature holes include back-to-back par fives at the 6th and 7th (the second of these is a double doglegging monster rated stroke index 1) and the 350-metre 18th, which veers right from the tee towards a slightly raised home green in front of the clubhouse.
