Reviews for The Links Shell Cove
Surprisingly good course located 90 mins south of Sydney. Not long at 5500m from the tips but each hole keeps your interest. Great bunkering, mix of short and medium length par 4s, short & long par 5s and the greens have a lot of action on them - slopes, run offs and positioning off the tee is important to do well here. Rarely will you need a long iron to hit the par 4s in 2 but a couple of the par 3s you certainly do. A great finishing hole, especially for match play. Keep your tee shot out of trouble and 220m up the hill (bush both sides) then you are looking at a 195m hit across a creek to the par 5. Some beautiful holes, especially on the back 9 which is considerably harder as per the indices. Great family orientated club house where a cool ale and nice food can be had whilst watching the games come in.
PS, it's not links! Soil, not sand based, not near coast, ponds everywhere, trees everywhere, you get the picture but still an interesting course well worth the trip.
