Angus & Dundee

The Angus County Golf Association oversees the affairs of 28 golf clubs and societies within the district and members of these clubs play over a total of 23 layouts, three of which are 9-hole courses.

  1. Carnoustie Golf Links (Championship)

  3. Montrose Golf Links (1562)

    Did you know that Montrose Golf Links is considered to be the seventh oldest course in the world? Records state that golf has been played here since 1562 but its mighty neighbour Carnoustie has long overshadowed it.

  4. Monifieth Golf Links (Medal)

    There are two golf courses at Monifieth but it's the Medal course that's used as an Open qualifying venue when the Open is played at nearby Carnoustie.

  5. Downfield Golf Club

    Home to Arbroath Artisan Golf Club, Old Tom Morris designed Arbroath Golf Links in 1877. This little known course lies a mere five miles up the North Sea coast from Carnoustie.

  10. Carnoustie (Buddon)

    Angus & Dundee

    Opened for play in 1981, the 18-hole Buddon course at Carnoustie Golf Links was upgraded in 2014 with the removal of the first hole, the merging of holes 9 and 10 to create a new par five, and the introduction of two new par fours.
