Canary Islands

The Real Federación Española de Golf comprises twenty-two individual federations across the Spanish mainland, Spanish islands and North Africa, with Federación Canaria de Golf the body that governs the game in the Canary Islands.

  1. Anfi Tauro Golf

Located a few kilometres to the west of Maspalomas on the southwest coast of Gran Canaria, the Anfi Tauro Golf Course is one of Spain’s gems that was destined for a place in the Continental European Top 100 rankings.

  2. Abama Golf

    Canary Islands, Spain

With Atlantic Ocean views across from Tenerife to the island of La Gomera and a thrilling collection of holes, Abama Golf is a Dave Thomas-designed course that opened for play in 2005.

  3. Tecina

    Canary Islands, Spain

Tecina is one of the most spectacular courses in the Canary Islands, occupying a sensational cliff top setting within a former banana plantation on the south side of the small island of La Gomera.

  4. Real Las Palmas

    Canary Islands, Spain

Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas is Spain’s oldest golf club, having been established by English traders back in 1891.

  5. Golf del Sur

    Canary Islands, Spain

Golf del Sur's original 18-hole North and South nines proved to be so popular that an additional 9-hole Links nine was subsequently added to cope with the demand. Sadly at the start of 2021, the 27-hole facility reverted to 18 holes when the South nine was sold for property development.

  6. Lopesan Meloneras

    Canary Islands, Spain

Owned and operated by the Lopesan Hotel Group, Lopesan Meloneras Golf occupies two distinct tracts; the more compact front nine lies further inland, with the back nine routed in a large loop around a future development site.

  7. Costa Teguise

    Canary Islands, Spain

Situated on the volcanic south eastern slopes of Lanzarote, the course at Costa Teguise Golf Club is a John Harris design that dates back to the late 1970s, making it one of noted architect’s final projects before he passed away in 1977.

  8. Salobre (Old)

    Canary Islands, Spain

The Old (South) course at Salobre Golf Resort comprises 27 hole golf complex within a residential estate near Maspalomas on the south coast of Gran Canaria.

  9. Buenavista

    Canary Islands, Spain

Buenavista is unashamedly holiday golf at its very best and should be on every visiting golfers itinerary when holidaying in Tenerife.

  10. Las Americas

    Canary Islands, Spain

The landscape gently slopes towards the coast, offering some pleasant elevation changes, particularly on the outward half of Las Americas.

  11. Costa Adeje

    Canary Islands, Spain

A decade after José "Pepe" Gancedo fashioned Golf del Sur on the island of Tenerife in the late 1980s, he created another 18-hole layout along the coast at Costa Adeje.

  12. Amarilla

    Canary Islands, Spain

Constructed in the late 1980s, just after the neighbouring Golf del Sur complex was opened, Amarilla offers fine, no frills holiday golf in the south of Tenerife...

The New (North) course at the Salobre Golf Resort & Spa is a 2008 Ron Kirby design that was extensively renovated in 2012 and then again in 2018 and 2022 by David Williams. This unique layout is laid out over the volcanic rocky terrain that is synonymous with Gran Canaria.
