Central Spain

More than 100 golf clubs are operating throughout the Central region of Spain and they're part of one of the four federations: Federacion Extremena de Golf is the smallest, with just 8 clubs, Federacion de Castilla-La Mancha includes 31 clubs, which are divided by five divisions, Federacion Golf de Castilla León has 52 clubs across nine districts, and the Federacion de Madrid de Golf has more than 60 courses that are on their books, but less than half have the course. In addition to Santander which has a Rees Jones-designed layout in 2005, the best-known clubhouses in the city city of Madrid have 36-hole golf facilities. Golfers who belong to RHSE Club de Campo enjoy having access to both two courses, the North as well as the South courses each developed by Robert van Hagge while golfers at Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro can set up on either the stunning Arriba and Abajo with 18 holes. We visited Madrid in November 2022 – click the link to read the report.
