Fife

Fife Golfing Association provides administration services to more than 50 clubs playing over 44 courses in an area that’s bounded by the Firth of Tay to the north and Firth of Forth to the south, with inland boundaries to Perth & Kinross and Clackmannanshire.

  1. St Andrews Links (Old)

    Fife, United Kingdom

No other course has hosted more Opens than the Old Course at St Andrews. Its 29th Open and the 144th Open Championship returned “to the Home of Golf” in 2015.

  2. Kingsbarns Golf Links

    Fife, United Kingdom

One of the many delights of Kingsbarns Golf Links is that you can see the North Sea from virtually every part of the course.

  3. Dumbarnie Links

    Fife, United Kingdom

Dumbarnie Links lies within the 5,000-acre Balcarres Estate, a property that’s been in the hands of Lord Balniel’s family for more than four hundred years. It’s a Clive Clark design which first opened its doors to the public as a pay-and-play facility in the spring of 2020.

  4. St Andrews Links (New)

    Fife, United Kingdom

Situated adjacent to the Old course, the New course at St Andrews is often referred to as the local’s favourite because it is tighter and more defined than the Old.

  5. St Andrews Links (Castle)

    Fife, United Kingdom

The Castle course is the newest member of St Andrews Links Trust’s portfolio and may be seen by some as the black sheep of the family due to its unnatural links character...

  6. Elie

    Fife, United Kingdom

The Golf House Club at Elie is where the great James Braid cut his golfing teeth. If you want to play an exciting but challenging historic links course, then look no further.

  7. Lundin Golf Club

    Fife, United Kingdom

Lundin Golf Club has a bit of everything: burns, blind drives, out-of-bounds, a nimiety of bunkers (many of which are deep and punishing), the ever-present wind and truly excellent greens.

  8. The Duke’s is the course belonging to the famous Old Course Hotel and it’s the only non-links course in St Andrews.

  9. St Andrews Links (Jubilee)

    Fife, United Kingdom

The Jubilee’s raised tees provide unparalleled views across St Andrews Bay to the east and the fluttering flags on the other St Andrews golf courses to the west.

  10. Ladybank Golf Club

    Fife, Scotland

The Howe of Fife provides Ladybank Golf Club with a natural shelter in the valley of the River Eden. It’s a Top 100 regular because it is one of Scotland’s best inland courses.

  11. Leven Links

    Fife, United Kingdom

Leven Links Golf Course measures a modest 6,551 yards from the medal tees against a par of 71, but the wind often laughs in the face of the yardage figures.

  12. Scotscraig Golf Club

    Fife, United Kingdom

Scotscraig Golf Club is situated close to the sea, it's part heathland and part links. The hybrid course plays over undulating terrain and is used for Open Qualifying when the Open is at St Andrews.

  13. The Balcomie Links is the relatively modern home of the Crail Golfing Society, the ninth oldest golf club in the world, which was formed in 1786.

  14. Designed by Denis Griffiths with the late golfing legend Gene Sarazen and evergreen Scottish senior Sam Torrance as the headline grabbers, the Torrance course at Fairmont St Andrews sweeps dramatically down to the coastline.

  15. It’s a mystery as to why the Craighead course at Crail did not feature in any golf course ranking tables since it came into play in 1999 until we first ranked it in 2008...

  16. Fairmont St Andrews (Kittocks)

    Fife, United Kingdom

The Kittocks course (previously known as the Devlin) sweeps alongside the rugged coastline where the views across St Andrews Bay towards the "auld grey toon" are sure to hold your attention.

  17. St Andrews Links (Eden)

    Fife, United Kingdom

Designed by Harry Colt in 1914, the St Andrews Eden course bears many of his "more strategic than punishing" hallmarks, especially the greens, which established the benchmark for modern putting surface design.

  18. Aberdour

    Fife, United Kingdom

Aberdour Golf Club is a charming little course, sometimes described as "parkland by the sea" with wonderful views to the Augustine monastery on nearby Inchcolm Island...

  19. Dunfermline

    Fife, United Kingdom

Dunfermline Golf Club’s parkland layout has an overall yardage of 6,121 yards (par 72) arranged in two loops of nine which end at the clubhouse.

  20. Balbirnie Park

    Fife, United Kingdom

Balbirnie Park Golf Club is a true test of golf and the course is set within beautiful wooded parkland with fine panoramic views.

  21. Drumoig

    Fife, United Kingdom

Drumoig Golf Club is located in 200 acres of attractive, rolling countryside in the north east corner of Fife.
