41st Georgia - Best in Area

Formed in 1926, Athens Country Club is now a 27-hole golf facility, with the original eighteen holes laid out by Donald Ross. This layout was restored by Ron Forse in 2010, when a number of the shrunken greens were increased in size.

Arrowhead Pointe

42nd Georgia - Best in Area

Laid out within the Richard B. Russell State Park, Arrowhead Point is one of eight golf facilities operated by the Georgia state authorities. The course lies on a Lake Russell peninsula, with water in play at half the holes.

Barnsley Gardens

43rd Georgia - Best in Area

Jim Fazio’s course occupies an enormous 378-acre portion of the Barnsley Gardens Resort, with fairways routed around woodland, gardens and a large lake.

Reynolds Lake Oconee (Creek Club)

The Creek Club course is the only private layout at the Reynolds Lake Oconee resort, reserved for members and their guests, with Richland Creek coming into play at fourteen of the holes.

Kinderlou Forest

Opened for play in 2004, the golf course at the Kinderlou Forest residential community was fashioned by Davis Love III and the club has already hosted half a dozen PGA Nationwide Tour events and been the two-time stage for the's South Georgia Classic.

The Club at Savannah Harbor’s fairways are set out on an island in the Savannah River, where holes weave in and out of natural wetland areas.

Brickyard at Riverside

Originally set out by Chic Adams in 1961, the Brickyard at Riverside golf course underwent an extensive redesign by Mark McCumber in 2005 when tees, fairways and greens were reshaped and new trees and grasses planted.

Brasstown Valley

Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, close to the North Carolina border, the course at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is a mid-1990s Denis Griffiths design with many of the holes affected by streams and wetland areas.

Jones Creek

49th Georgia - Best in Area

Located a mere seven miles from Augusta National, the course at Jones Creek Golf Club is routed through towering stands of pine trees on a rolling property. Originally designed by Rees Jones, the layout has since been renovated by Tom Fazio.

Located less than an hour’s drive north of downtown Atlanta, the late 1990s layout at the semi-private Woodmont Golf & Country Club is the first design project undertaken by Robert Trent Jones Jnr in the state of Georgia.
