Virginia

The most important association for golfers in the Old Dominion State is the Virginia State Golf Association, which has been serving the needs of Virginians since 1904. With nearly 330 golf clubs across the state, there is plenty of choice for locals and visiting golfers, and there is history aplenty, too.

  1. The Olde Farm

    Virginia, United States

The Olde Farm Golf Club is located at Bristol in southwest Virginia and the Bobby Weed-designed course opened for play in 2000.

  2. Kinloch Golf Club

    Virginia, United States

One unique feature at Kinloch Golf Club is the 19th hole and no, it's not the clubhouse. It's a 188-yard par three, better known as the "settle-the-bet" one-shotter.

  3. The Homestead Resort (Cascades)

    Virginia, United States

The Homestead mountain setting is truly delightful and the Cascades golf course looks totally natural with its ponds, streams and slopes, but the fairways were blasted through the limestone using tons of dynamite.

  4. Robert Trent Jones Golf Club

    Virginia, United States

Robert Trent Jones Golf Club bears all the trademark design traits of the old master – expansive fairways, plenty of water hazards, lots of flashed bunker complexes and large, contoured greens.

  5. Ballyhack Golf Club

    Virginia, United States

Set in a dramatic 190-acre tract of land that rises and falls spectacularly with breathtaking elevation changes, Ballyhack Golf Club is pure golf.

  6. Martin Ebert laid out the fairways of the Highland course here at Primland along the tops of ridges and through valleys with holes offering sensational views...

  7. Washington Golf & Country Club

    Virginia, United States

An under-the-radar 1907 Donald Ross design that was later modified by William Flynn, the course at Washington Golf and Country Club (the oldest private country club in Virginia) was re-imagined by Renaissance Golf Design in 2020.

  8. With many of its fairways fronting the Potomac River, the Championship course at Trump National is a Tom Fazio design which debuted in 1993.

  9. Virginian

    Virginia, United States

Laid out over rolling terrain in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Virginian Golf Club is a wonderfully member-friendly course where the fairways are wide and forgiving...

  10. Farmington (Main)

    Virginia, United States

The holes at Farmington Country Club extend on three sides of the elegant clubhouse – a former plantation house – and the entire round is played under the watchful guard of several mountain ranges.
