Designed and built by American Golf Course Design, the 18-hole course at Estancias Golf Club measures 7,000 yards from the back tees and features eleven lakes forcing golfers to think carefully about accurac
Estancias was built during the years 2004-07 together with a huge Real Estate Development transforming an “Estancia” into several neighborhoods and a very good Golf Club with a course designed and constructed by Randy Thompson who also worked in the 90s with Robert Von Hagge constructing Buenos Aires GC and in many touches of the course you see the influence the late Robert had on Randy.
The Course is set in an open piece of land with just a couple of Acacia Forests which gives it almost a links touch, but with modern green design and bunkering. The Lujan River on the side of Holes 5-6-7-15 completes the topography of this very good course which has already hosted most of the Major Amateur Events in Argentina and even the Final Qualifying for “El Abierto”.
Bent grass challenging greens, some of them quite big, very well kept firm Bermuda fairways and decent sized bunkers together with many lakes which all come into play complete a nice combo for one of the good golf courses near Buenos Aires.
With a Modern Style Club House famous for it’s Open Air Grill (Parrilla), it is one of those course that despite being modern will bring you the typical Argentina Taste of the Sport.
