Indonesia

Almost 18,000 islands make up the country of Indonesia and the island of Java is one of the most populated regions in the world. The geology of Indonesia subjects these islands to the greatest volcanic activity on earth but many visitors are attracted here and for good reason: the laid-back lifestyle, sun-kissed beaches and some of the world’s most incredible ancient temples.

  8. Jagorawi (New)

    Java, Indonesia

The New course at Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is a good bit longer than its older sibling but it’s also a little wider and more forgiving, allowing big hitters to let loose with the driver.

  9. Bob Moore of JMP Design laid out the original 18-hole course (the Forest and Mountain nines) across hilly terrain at Rainbow Hills Golf Club in 1995 and he returned twenty years later to renovate the layout...

  19. Built on the site of a rudimentary military course, Bob Moore’s 27 holes at Suvarna Jakarta Golf Club bear no resemblance to the old layout. The JMP design is a tropical nod to links golf, but the reality is that Suvarna is parkland and more than a world away from a real links.
