Central & South America

Consisting of seven countries situated between Mexico and Colombia, Central America links the continents of North America and South America.

  4. El Rincón

    Colombia

    The World Cup was played at El Rincón in 1980 when the Canadian team of Dan Halldorsan and Jim Nelford held off a strong challenge by the Scottish pairing of Sandy Lyle and Sam Torrance to win the tournament.

  5. Olivos is one of the more traditional and recognised golf clubs in Argentina and the Blanca & Colorada nines comprise of the premier eighteen at this 27-hole facility.

  6. British railway engineers formed the São Paulo Golf Club at the start of the 20th century but the course today is completely hemmed in by housing and industrial buildings on all sides...

  7. Chapelco

    Argentina

    The Chapelco Golf Resort was the first course in South America designed by the Jack Nicklaus II group.

  8. Gávea is widely regarded as Rio de Janeiro’s most prestigious golf club. It dates back to 1921 and the course occupies a delightful setting to the south of Rio, adjacent to the Tijuca National Forest.

  9. The Arnold Palmer designed Peninsula Papagayo golf course at the Four Seasons Resort opened for play in 2004. Stunning ocean views across the Bahía de Culebra are on offer from many fairways that sit atop a high bluff.

  10. The low-density private beach community at Guacalito de la Isla on Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast sits next to the stunning white sands of Playa Manzanillo and the crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean.

  11. Designed by American architect Dan Blankenship, a former associate of Pete and Perry Dye, the Terravista golf course opened in 2004.

  12. The 27 holes at Buenos Aires Golf Club opened for play in 1994 and the renowned architect Robert von Hagge designed each loop.

  13. TPC Cartagena is a Nicklaus Design layout which opened for play in December 2012. Texan rookie, Andrew Landry, won the inaugural 2015 Cartagena de Indias at Karibana Championship here to claim his first Web.com Tour title.

  14. Opened in 2010 and designed by Perry Dye, the Black Pearl course at Roatan’s Pristine Bay Resort has stratospherically raised the Honduran golfing bar with its rolling oceanside routing and a signature island green.

  15. Lucero

    Panama

    Designed by American architect J. Michael Poellot, the golf course at Cielo Paraiso not only requires patience but stamina. Ideally play outside the rainy season and you’re in for a thrilling visual treat.

  16. La Paz

    Bolivia

    A number of golf courses boast impressive altimeter readings but none of them quite come up to the 10,650 feet highest point of the La Paz Golf Club in Bolivia.

  17. El Potrerillo de Larreta Resort and Country Club is located in Alta Gracia, in the province of Cordoba and the golf course is set in a valley surrounded by hills where the topography is dramatic.

  18. Lagunita

    Venezuela

    Lagunita Country Club first hosted the Venezuelan Open in 1979 when it was won by Tony Jacklin. Ronan Rafferty triumphed three years later and the "Caracas Open" has been held here on several occasions since.

  19. The course at Mar del Plata Golf Club is known as "the golf cathedral" - with sand dunes more at home on Scottish links courses.

  20. American architect, Brian Costello, laid out the course at Fazenda da Grama Golf & Country Club in 2006 within a residential estate that's situated an hour's drive from downtown São Paulo.

  21. Patagonia Virgin Golf Club's fairways sit 450 feet above Lake Llanquihue, with views across its sparkling waters to the surrounding rain forest.

  22. Originally named the Buenos Aires Golf Club, San Andrés now carries the most famous course name in the world - St Andrews.

  23. Nordelta

    Argentina

    Nordelta Golf Club, the course that Jack built, opened for play in 2007 and is one of Argentina’s most challenging layouts.

  24. Reserva Conchal

    Costa Rica

    The Robert Trent Jones Jnr-designed course at Reserva Conchal Golf Club opened for play in 1996. This Gold Coast resort layout is surrounded by the Playa Conchal property.

  25. Founded in 1945 and located in the western suburbs of Bogotá, San Andrés Golf Club plays homage to St Andrews, the Home of Golf.

  26. Pilará

    Argentina

    Located approximately 40 kilometres to the northwest of the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, the golf course at Pilará is the first Jack Nicklaus signature design in the country.

  27. One of four Guatemalan golf courses designed by American architect Larry Packard, the 18 holes at Hacienda Nueva Country Club first opened for play in 1996.

  28. Designed by George Fazio and constructed by his nephew Tom Fazio in the early 1970s, Cariari Country Club was the first 18-hole course to be built in Costa Rica...

  29. The Mantarraya golf course is set within the Royal Decameron Beach Resort, between the recently modernised Scarlett Martinez International airport and the Rio Farallón, where the river empties into the Pacific Ocean.

  30. Located in the ancient foothills of the Sierras Chicas to the north of Cordoba, Pueblo Estancia La Paz is a lifestyle and residential property that extends to more than 500 hectares.

  31. El Desafío

    Argentina

    Designed by Greg Norman, El Desafío (The Challenge) opened its first nine holes for play in 2015 as part of a private resort featuring golf and polo, as well as other equestrian sports, a nature reserve with trails, private residences and golf.

  32. Through the use of time tested classic design principles, the Palmer golf course at Fazenda Boa Vista sits lightly on the land, blending seamlessly into the native tropical vegetation.

  33. Córdoba

    Argentina

    Córdoba Golf Club is home to two great golfers: "El Pato" Cabrera and "El Gato" Romero and their excellent American-style course has been transformed over the last 15 years.

  34. São Fernando Golf Club was formed in 1958 and members played on a 9-hole course before an additional nine holes were added in 1969.

  35. The residential development at La Serena Golf is the biggest real estate project in northern Chile, covering a vast area between Caleta San Pedro and Punta Teatino, at the northern end of the Bay of Coquimbo.

  36. El Terrón

    Argentina

    Situated a mere 15-minute drive from Córdoba airport, the 18-hole layout at El Terrón Golf Club is a Tom Weiskopf design that first opened for play at the end of 2019.

  37. The Alphaville Graciosa Clube layout is yet another from a burgeoning Blankenship portfolio and its 18 holes are set within a residential estate that lies just outside the Paraná state capital of Curitiba.

  38. Club de Golf Los Leones was established in 1910 and it’s one of Chile’s most exclusive sporting establishments that enjoys a breathtaking background canvas of the Andes Mountains and the city of Santiago.

  39. Termas de Río Hondo Golf Club is the latest development in Santiago del Estero Province’s plans to position the town as a top tourist destination, joining the new Formula 1 racetrack, international airport and museum of art...

  40. Opened for play in 2011, the residential course at Los Canales de Plottier is a new Patagonian golfing addition from the Nicklaus Design stable.
