Forsgårgens Golfklubb has evolved since 1989 into a fine 27-hole golf facility, featuring the 9-hole Kungsbanen course and 18-hole Slottsbanen layout which hosted the Scandinavian Masters tournament in 1993 and 1996.
Sixty years after its formation, Båstad Golfkubb called in respected architect Tommy Nordström to design a second 18-hole course for its burgeoning membership and so the Nya (New) course made its debut in 1990.
Located on the Baltic Sea coastline, Ystad Golfklubb began operations in 1932 with a 9-hole course but over the years this initial layout has evolved into the testing Thure Bruce-designed track that’s in play today.
Laid out next to Bjertorp Castle, the fairways at Vara-Bjertorp Golfklubb have been in play since 1990, three years after the club was inaugurated. The landscape in this part of Västgötaslätten is pretty flat so the course is an easy walk.
The course at Ǻsundsholm Golf & Country Club is set within a beautiful property on the east shore of Ǻsunden Lake, where the author Birgit Th. Sparre wrote most of her books in the series entitled “Estates around the Lake.”
Situated in a nature reserve bordering the ancient Viking burial grounds at Hjortahammar, the coastal course at Carlskrona Golfklubb has operated since 1953. The initial 9-hole layout was expanded to eighteen holes by Jan Sederholm thirty years later.
Hinton's Rönnebäck golf course is set on undulating ground, parts of which are reminiscent of Scottish moorland and parts of which are traditional parkland in character.
Degeberga-Widtsköfle Golf Club opened for play in 1990 and its springy heathland fairways are a joy to play on, even though they do rise and fall with regularity over some testing terrain.
The course at Kinds Golfklubb occupies a beautiful location along the river Assman, just outside Svenljunga in southern Västergötland. Starting with a par five and ending with a par three, it’s a Jan Sederholm design that can be stretched to 6,000 metres.
Jönköping is situated at the southern end of Sweden's second largest inland body of water – Lake Vättern in Småland – and the 18-hole layout at Jönköpings Golfklubb has operated in the city since 1936, making it the oldest golf club in the province.
