British Columbia

The most westerly of Canada’s provinces, British Columbia is a largely mountainous, heavily-forested region that’s ideally suited to outdoor pursuits – if you’re into hunting, shooting or fishing then BC’s the place for you. For the aquatically minded, there are plenty of water sport activities to be found along its rugged coastline whilst the world-famous Whistler resort is an ever-popular destination for a vast number of skiers.

  1. Capilano Golf & Country Club

    British Columbia, Canada

    Capilano Golf & Country Club is set most dramatically, protected to the north and east by the mountains of British Columbia. It’s a glorious setting with views across Vancouver Harbour to Mount Baker beyond.

  2. Sagebrush Golf Club

    British Columbia, Canada

    Sagebrush ran into serious financial difficulties and closed its tees for play in the fall of 2014 and was due to reopen in 2016 as a high-end pay-and-play public facility managed by Troon Golf. However in September 2017 the course closed and remained shut, finally reopening in July 2021.

  21. Kings Links by the Sea

    Situated twenty miles south of downtown Vancouver, the fairways at Kings Links by the Sea overlook the tidal flats of Boundary Bay, with holes routed around several man-made lakes. It’s not a proper links but it’s still lots of fun to play.

  22. Talking Rock

    Graham Cooke and Wayne Carlton laid out the Talking Rock golf course in 2007 and it's set in a mature, forested setting that skirts the banks of Little Shuswap Lake.

  23. Richmond Country Club

    British Columbia, Canada

    Designed by Irish architect A. V. Macan and opened in 1958, the course at Richmond Country Club is a terrific tree-lined track which is characterised by its well-positioned bunkers and undulating, elevated putting surfaces.

  24. Copper Point (The Point)

    The Point is one of two 18-hole courses at Copper Point Golf Club and it’s significantly longer and tougher than its little sister, The Ridge. Opened for play in 2004 and fashioned by Gary Browning, The Point pitches and rolls through the foothills of the Kootenay Rockies.
