Top 100 Golf Courses of Scotland – 2009
15th July 2009
www.top100golfcourses.com presents the first ever Scottish Top 100 Golf Course rankings
We have assembled Scotland’s finest golf courses based on five year’s research and, just to make sure we got it right, our Scottish correspondent Jim McCann played every single course on our Scotland Top 100 list. Additionally, we consulted Ernie Payne, the golf-mad granddad who in 2006 putted his way to a place in history by becoming the first person to play every course in Scotland. Click here to read more about Ernie’s incredible feat.
Naturally, ranking golf courses is a subjective business but we’re convinced that nobody does it better than us. We’ve used our unique blending process, factoring in course ratings posted by www.top100golfcourses.com website visitors alongside all other Scottish golf course rankings published by various sources. We don’t claim to be the “most definitive” golf course rankings but we are the “most informed” golf course rankings in the business.
It seems fitting that Turnberry’s stunning Ailsa course, venue of the 2009 Open Championship, is our new Scottish No.1.
